Mainly to read blogs, get online, etc.  I downloaded some free ebooks and cannot wait to read them.  I wish I had more time to read.  I have found that I cannot read in bed.  It literally puts me to sleep within 5 minutes of reading.

17. Strong Women Soft Hearts:  A Woman's Guide to Cultivating a Wise Heart and a Passionate Life by       Paula Rinehart

I'll add to this list as time goes on so that I can keep track of everything I've read this year.

TV Shows to watch in 2013:

New Year's Eve I went to Target and bought Season 1 and Season 2's DVD sets of:

Downton Abbey!  I sat down this past Saturday night and watched 4 episodes of Season 1 and was hoping I could catch up so that I could watch Season 3 which was coming on the next night on PBS.  Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to get caught up, but hopefully I will this weekend.  I did, however, record the beginning of Season 3 so that I can watch it once I get caught up.

One of my favorite shows, Private Practice, is into its last few episodes.  I'm sad to see it end! I love it more than Grey's now.

Army Wives - another of my favorite shows!!!  I can't wait for it to start back this season!

The Biggest Loser - LOVE watching this show, too!  Not sure about having Jillian back - I can't stand the cursing and screaming at someone.

MOVIES to watch in 2013

I want to watch Les Mis.  I'll update this list as time goes.  I haven't really had a chance to see what all is coming out.  We don't go to the movies but maybe once or twice a  year - we do Blockbuster or Redbox.

Third and Fourth Items on my 2013 Resolutions List

The third item on my list: is not really third in importance.  It is FIRST and the most important and, like diet and exercise, is always on my list every year, because it is even more important than anything that I do in my life.  It's up there with BREATHING.  The third item is to read my Bible more.  I would love to read the entire Bible this year.  There are apps and online programs that allow you to achieve that.  There is also a program to read the entire Bible in two years.  I'm not sure which program I want to start.  I want to not only read the Bible more, but to STUDY the Scriptures more.  I have some wonderful Bible Study groups that I am in that allows me to study different books of the Bible in depth, and that always helps me in so many ways.

So, third item - Read my Bible more.

Weekly Goal - to read DAILY Scriptures using a entire Bible in a year program from Crosswalk. Also, I do an online Bible Study through GoodMorningGirls.org and this month starts "Living Like Jesus Luke 1-8".  I love their studies!

Monthly Goal - to attend Wednesday night Bible Study class every Wednesday night, to attend Monday night Bible Study group every Monday night and to continue with Living Like Jesus study online.

The fourth item on my list:

To stop talking about people!  I have somehow gotten into a bad habit of talking about people!

Weekly Goal - DAILY PRAY before I speak and ask the Lord to help me lift up everyone that comes to my mind and when someone does me wrong to lift that person up in prayer instead of slam them in my mind or with my words. I also need to see them as Jesus sees them - and love everyone.

Monthly Goal - To write words of encouragement to those around me, via email and/or cards.  My goal is to write 10 cards a month/2-3 a week.

Proverbs 16:3 - Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.

A NEW ME IN 2013! My first two items of my New Years' Resolutions

I want to document more about what goes on in my life so that when I get old and feeble I'll be able to somehow remember what I've done in my life.  Hopefully I will document more on this blog than I documented in my boys' baby books.  I sucked at that. B.I.G. time. So, my goal is to blog at least once a week!  That's my goal and I'm gonna stick to it!

First, I want to start with my New Years' Resolutions.  ALWAYS at the top of my list is diet and exercise.  I want to get this weight off of me. THIS year.  I have slacked at exercising in 2012 and my weight has crept back on me.  I want to get back to exercising every morning and then possibly back to running.  I want to eat clean - no more junk food or sweets.  I think the more sweets and junk food I eat the more I crave them!  So, I'm cutting them out.  My goals for the first two items on my Resolutions list are:

DIET:  Cut out all sweets and junk food.  Eat nothing but veggies, fruit and lean meats.  I may allow a "Sugar Day" on Saturday or Sunday.

My weekly goal is to hopefully lose two pounds a week.

My monthly goal is to aim for 10 pounds a month.

EXERCISE:  Exercise every morning either by 5 mile power walking with Leslie Sansone (I burn about 550 calories doing this), or elliptical for 30-45 minutes.  I would love to add in walking during lunch hour for at least 3 days during the week.  I would also love to bring back some running in the evening.

My weekly goal is to exercise every morning, walk 3 days a week during lunch and to bring back running in the evenings maybe two evenings a week.

My monthly goal is to increase my exercise time, miles walked and miles ran.

So, this is the beginning of my list.  I will be adding more that I want to do. I have such great plans for 2013!!

Psalm 20:4 "May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed."
